Albany Shellfish Hatchery

This project involved the expansion at the Albany Shellfish Hatchery of an additional 650 square meters of production space, including new laboratories, spat grading facilities, an additional nursery space to produce juvenile rock oysters and a new greenhouse. These upgrades will allow an increase from around 22 million rock oysters to over 40 million annually.

Colab Construction was thrilled to win this tender, and collaborated with local trades and suppliers ensuring that over 84% of the contract was awarded locally.
